A MINT-, original copy of Bill Bush performing the Northern Soul hit, I’m Waiting. This is guaranteed played just once to check condition. It comes with a signed sleeve from Bill and has been stored at the back of a box in Bill’s house since it was cut in 1965 (see interview with Bill in Manifesto mag, May 2004).
The successful bidder is guaranteed a collectors item that can only go up in value as the record quickly moves into legendary status on the UK Northern Soul scene. Bill does not have multiple copies of the track as the singles were used for the purpose they were intended - to promote the group. many were sent to agents/bookers who were notorious for 'binning' records regardless of the quality of the performance.
The three-piece Bill Bush Combo produced the track as a promotional item to advertise their band in 1965. It was released on Stan Lewis' RONN label (named after Stan's brother). Sales were minimal at the time and many remaining stock copies were lost forever during a clean out at Jewel records in the 1970s. In addition, a number of the original, and only, pressing, were pressed with labels off-centre. This copy is perfect. Add it up - a mint copy, label centred, sleeve signed by Bill "Best wishes, Bill Bush".
